This details the latest news, and what we’re expecting from the Rivers of America replacement at Walt Disney World. Rather than starting by bringing you up to speed on the Cars saga, let’s start with the news before backtracking.

Walt Disney World has laid the foundation to build a fifth theme park. Well, the figurative foundation–not the literal one. That’s still at least a decade away–perhaps 20 years or more. This post covers the 2045 Comprehensive Plan that was approved by the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District, and why we still are convinced a 5th gate is still a mythical creature that’s unlikely to happen. Ever.

Our last review of the Little Mermaid guest rooms at Art of Animation Resort now comes across as too harsh. Walt Disney World’s standard accommodations at this fan-favorite hotel have gotten a lot better, and this reevaluates them based on value for money, location, themed design, quality, and more. One thing I do want to note upfront is that this is not us doing a complete 180 on the Little Mermaid rooms or admitting we were “wrong” about them.

When I first saw Wall-E, I couldn’t believe it was a Disney movie because it, ahem, hit a bit close to home. To each their own, but I also think people are more forgiving of messaging if a movie is actually good and thought-provoking.

That’s right, old Pixar never had any messaging! I swear if these exact same movies came out today somebody would talk about how “woke” they are https://t.co/qvmurTrfDe

There were only 22 California condors left in 1992 when the recovery program began. The Los Angeles Zoo hatched 10 chicks just this season. What an incredible endangered species comeback story.

Well, hello LA925! 😍 Just days old, this California condor chick is already hitting big milestones — eating well, gaining strength, and growing steady. #LAZooCondorStories https://t.co/ccKGLrQoMV

Not as 'sexy' as park expansion, but I've been excited for Eastern Gateway for a decade & am elated it's finally happening. Huge QoL win that'll shave lots of time off our visits to Disneyland. Here are all my thoughts + past context, etc. https://t.co/mqvTmkDYcu
