Ahead of MPL Malaysia Season 15, MOONTON Games’ Malaysia Esports Lead, Fikri Rizal Mahruddin, has teased that the league may become franchised in the future. Speaking at a press conference earlier in the day, Mahruddin noted that the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) league is ‘seriously considering the shift to a franchising format’ as part of MPL Malaysia’s long-term growth strategy.

Esports betting services provider Oddin.gg has announced a ‘long-term’ partnership with tournament organiser StarLadder. According to a release, the partnership will allow Oddin.gg to create ‘innovative betting markets’ by utilising StarLadder data and its esports betting solutions. In particular, the partnership will focus on StarLadder’s StarSeries events in Counter-Strike 2.

G2 Esports has become the latest team to qualify for VALORANT Masters Bangkok following a 2-0 victory against Sentinels in VCT 2025: Americas Kickoff. Yesterday’s match-up saw 2023’s Ascension champion win the Upper Bracket Final to secure a spot at VALORANT’s first international event of the year. Despite only being in VCT Americas since the beginning of 2024, this will be G2 Esports’ third international event.

As a result of the partnership, Novibet’s LATAM and European customers will be able to bet on various eSoccer and eBasketball matches via SIS’ H2H Global Gaming League. The H2H Global Gaming League has been designed by SIS specifically for sportsbooks wanting to bolster their betting portfolio by adding esports-focused gaming content.

Esports tournament platform Start.gg has announced its transition back to an independent company. Start.gg is a widely regarded tournament platform that has been prominently utilised within the fighting games community (FGC) since its creation in 2015. The company was previously known as Smash.gg until 2022. In particular, the company is a fan-favourite destination for Super Smash Bros events.
