Dear Hadiyah, Astrid, Lindsay and Lakshmi,I’ve never actually met Morrissey, which is probably why I like him. He is undeniably a complex and divisive figure, someone who takes more than a little pleasure in pissing people off. As enjoyable as some may find this, it holds little interest for me, but for the fact that Morrissey is probably the best lyricist of his generation – certainly the strangest, funniest, most sophisticated, and most subtle.

Dear Georgia and Penny,I read Nic Cage’s piece in The Guardian, and I relate to his experience. I found a place to eat called the Tomato Pie Café, ordered eggs and coffee, and gazed out the window at the cherry blossoms blazing in the sunlight.

I am a big believer in process mining. My devotion to the approach is partly based on a strong belief in the value of a process orientation; I don’t think organizations can improve their operations effectively without it. And I confess I also like process mining because the concept was invented by academics. I feel strongly that the combination of academic thought leadership and thoughtful adoption of their ideas by businesses is very powerful.
