North Douglas, which is ranked No. 3 in the latest Class 2A/1A coaches' poll, improved to 10-2 overall and 4-0 in SD5. The Eagles dropped to 2-6 and 0-4. Freshman Payton Rabuck was 3-for-4 with three runs for North Douglas.

    Grants Pass picked up a pair of Southwest Conference track and field dual meet wins over Roseburg on Wednesday at Finlay Field. The G.P. boys won 10 events in an 82-63 victory over the Indians. The Cavers finished first in 13 events and whipped Roseburg 104-41 on the girls' side.

    LOWELL — The Oakland baseball team dropped a 13-3 decision to Lowell in a Special District 5 game on Wednesday. The contest was stopped after five innings due to the mercy rule. The Oakers are 3-9 overall and 2-2 in SD5. Zak Hermansen and Ben Thurman led the Devils (6-3, 2-1) at the plate. Hermansen went 3-for-5 with a double, three runs and two RBIs, while Thurman was 3-for-4 with two RBIs. Carter Harris homered. Wyatt McNamee pitched the win, allowing four hits with seven strikeouts.
