It has been a whirlwind basketball career for Fair Haven Union High School's Isabelle Cole. She played on two straight Division II state championship teams. CASTLETON — The West Rutland softball team is used to the pressure of a big game. It's a feeling many of the Golden Horde's players have felt since before they could even drive. CASTLETON — The West Rutland softball team was on Spartan Field celebrating a state championship on Monday. But it was more than that. A lot more. Maureen Quinn has written a book about the 100 years of the LSCCC.

NORTHFIELD — The Green Mountain Valley School won a thrilling 14-13 victory in the Division III boys lacrosse state championship game at Norwich University on Saturday, but there was a time when the staunchest fans of their beloved Gumbies had to think that the title might not happen. When Kaynen Haines scored late in the first half it gave Montpelier an 8-4 lead. It appeared as though the Solons might be separating themselves from the Gumbies and taking control of the game.
