Earlier this month, dairy giant Danoneannounced ithad cut methane emissions from its global fresh milk supply chain by over 20percent since 2020. That’s a big deal, given that methane is more than 80 timesmore potent than carbondioxideover a 20-year period. The company — which sources milk from over 50,000 farms across 20 countries —claims to have achieved this through a combination of feed additives, improvedmanure management and more regenerative grazingpractices.

In 2024 alone, nearly 600 gigawatts of new solarcapacitywere installed around the world — enough to power every light, fridge, laptopand phone in the US alone. And it’s a 33 percent jump from the yearbefore, pushing us firmly into “this is actually happening” territory. Solar is currently the fastest-growing slice of the clean-energy mix — accounting fornearly half of all new renewable capacity worldwide.
