    Edison Birthplace Museum launches capital campaignMILAN — The Edison Birthplace Museum has launched a $100,000 capital improvements drive to expand the museum and create the Don Gfell Education Center. The new education center, expected to include hands-on activities and artifacts, is named after a longtime Milan civic booster who worked to aid the museum and to generate interest in Milan, the birthplace of famous inventor Thomas Alva Edison. Donald L. Gfell, 81, died in January 2023.
