A Taste of India, on 7 Market Square, Kirkby Lonsdale, is the subject of a retrospective Listed Building consent application to keep the white and blue illuminated signage displayed on its historic frontage. The restaurant opened in April 2025 but owner Kalam Shah has been informed by Westmorland and Furness Council that he must gain Listed Building and advertisement consent, which was not sought prior to opening, for the sign.
