For $8 (about £6), players will get to choose one of the trio to encounter via a Timed Research ticket. Normally, these creatures are an ultra-rare spawn from Pokémon Go's Daily Adventure Incense, which can only be activated for a limited time each day.

Switch 2 won't support Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) on TVs after all, despite Nintendo previously suggesting it would. The Mario maker today set the record straight in a comment to Nintendo Life, acknowledging that VRR would only be available when playing Switch 2 in handheld mode. An earlier, now-removed statement on Nintendo's website had not made that distinction, and suggested VRR while docked would also be possible. "Nintendo Switch 2 supports VRR in handheld mode only.

Published on May 16, 2025 Fortnite now lets you chat with Darth Vader, who wields the fully operational AI-generated power of the late James Earl Jones. This isn't the first time Fortnite has featured the digital recreation of a now-deceased individual. Last year, it held a pop concert fronted by Juice Wrld, the young rapper and Fortnite fan who sadly died of an overdose in 2019.

Published on May 16, 2025 Bungie has admitted that an external artist's work has been used within upcoming game Marathon without consent. The issue came to light yesterday following recent playable alpha tests of Marathon, from which an artist recognised their designs had been used. "The Marathon alpha released recently and its environments are covered with assets lifted from poster designs I made in 2017," artist Fern Hook wrote on social media.
