The Department of Parliamentary Services signed a lease in 2022 for additional accommodation that will cost taxpayers $67.8 million over 11 years and 4 months, an answer to a Senate estimates question reveals. DPS officials were quizzed during the only day of Senate estimates after the March budget about the cost of the lease for the premises at West Block, intended to accommodate additional parliamentary staff.
