A case involving an Ashland teenager accused of shooting and killing his brother will proceed in juvenile court. Daniel Wilber, 16, was facing life in prison for a first degree homicide charge. Had the case remained in the adult system, that was the only sentence available upon conviction. Instead, his attorney Aaron Nelson and Bayfield County District Attorney Kimberly Lawton both said during a hearing the juvenile justice system will be better suited for him than the adult system.
