The UTSA Roadrunners (6-6) will take on the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers (6-6) in the Myrtle Beach Bowl at 11 a.m. EST on Dec. 23 at Brooks Stadium in Conway, S.C. The UTSA Roadrunners (6-6, 4-4 American Athletic Conference) had their three-game winning streak snapped with a 29-24loss to the Army Black Knights (10-1, 8-0) on Nov. 30 at Michie Stadium in West Point, N.Y. UTSA reached the Army 42-yard line with 1:23 remaining, but quarterback Owen McCown’s ill-advised throw into triple coverage was intercepted by safety Gavin Shields, sealing the win for the Black Knights.

SAN ANTONIO — The UTSA Roadrunners (6-5, 4-3 American Athletic Conference) secured bowl eligibility for the fifth straight season with a 51-27 win over the Temple Owls (3-8, 2-7 AAC) on Nov. 22 at the Alamodome, completing a perfect home record. Despite three turnovers and nine penalties, UTSA dominated defensively with six sacks and a school-record 16 tackles for loss while amassing 529 yards of total offense.
