While winter can be everyone's least favorite time of the year, the biggest upside is you don't need to worry about bugs (unless you're like me and seem to be roommates with stink bugs no matter how hard you try to get rid of them). Sometimes I will take single-digit temps if it means I don't need to deal with mosquitos, ants, and more. Bugs are essential parts of an ecosystem but boy can they be problematic.

Flagstar revealed 8 locations in Michigan and Indiana that are closing forever. Customer behavior is part of the big change at Flagstar. People are using online banking and automated tellers now more than ever. That, in combination with an 845 million dollar loss in 2024, led to laying off many employees and closing dozens of branches this year, according to TheStreet.com. Flagstar Bank has scheduled the closing of 60 of its branches in the United States in 2025.

Over the holidays, I found myself down a strange rabbit hole: looking for old websites that are still up and running. When I say old websites, I mean websites that are still in their original states from when they were created on the early Internet around the turn of the century. For example, the original website to promote the Space Jam movie starring Michael Jordan was created in 1996 and is still around and (mostly) functional. It screams 1990s internet and I am a huge fan.
