At 6-foot-6, 230 pounds, Owens is ranked as the No. 1 tight end in Virginia and plays in 6A, the largest classification in the state. Last season, Owens recorded 41 catches for more than 500 yards and four scores for the Yorktown High School Patriots in Arlington. When he was not the primary receiver, Owens excelled at blocking.

One big contributor to that success is WR/TE Hudson Reasor. Reasor caught 27 passes for 535 yards and five touchdowns for a Saints offense that scored 596 points on the season, an average of 42 points per game. Three times last season, the Saints scored 50-plus points.
