    The Bedford Urban Garden (BUG) has been steadily growing over the past 10 years. What began as a handful of raised beds for rent in 1995 has expanded to 40 beds for rent in addition to 11 beds that are used to grow healthy organic produce for Bedford Christian Ministries Food Pantry and residents of Jonn Early Apartments. Over 3,000 pounds of produce were donated to these establishments this past year.

The commencement service for the graduating class of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (NOBTS) and Leavell College was held at the Mississippi Correctional Institute for Women (MCIW) on Dec. 16 at the prison in Rankin County. Twelve women graduated with either an Associate of Arts in Christian Service or a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Service.
