Representatives from the school will be available to answer questions about registration, curriculum, financial aid, health requirements and admission requirements. In March 2024, the state-of-the-art Franciscan Health Cancer Center Lafayette opened. Since that time, the cancer center continues to expand as new co-workers have been added to the team and the roster of patients and services offered grows as well. In just one year, nearly 4,000 new patients have entered the Franciscan Health Cancer Center Lafayette and over 12,000 treatments have been delivered.

She has always considered herself to be in good health. Franciscan WorkingWell is hosting a free, day-long symposium at the Golf Club of Indiana in Lebanon on Tuesday, April 29. The symposium is aimed at helping employers find healthcare solutions. The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Eastern (8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Central). Breakfast and lunch will be served. Franciscan Health will be hosting a virtual diabetes prevention program online, starting on Tuesday, April 8 at 6 p.m. Eastern/5 p.m. Central. Franciscan Health's Diabetes Prevention Program follows guidelines recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that have been proven to prevent or delay type 2 diabetes. More than 1 in 3 adults have prediabetes, but most do not know it.

With increasing activity of respiratory viruses such as flu, COVID-19 and RSV, Franciscan Health hospitals in Lafayette, Crawfordsville and Rensselaer are implementing new visitation restrictions. These changes only affect inpatient areas and do not apply to outpatient departments. The following policy goes into effect Monday, January 6, 2025:- Visitors must be at least 18 years of age. - Only two visitors per patient are allowed to visit at a time (excluding clergy who are part of the care team).

At 8:04 a.m., on January 2, Devanshi Chaudhari became the first baby born in 2025 at Franciscan Health Lafayette East. Devanshi, the daughter of Sonalben Chaudhari and Vijay Chaudhari of Crawfordsville, weighed in at 9 pounds, 3 ounces, and measured 21.5 inches. The baby was delivered by Erin Ramirez, DO, an OB/GYN with Franciscan Physician Network Obstetrics & Gynecology.

RENSSELAER, Ind. - Franciscan Health Rensselaer has installed and is now using the state-of-the-art Canon Aquilion Prime SP 160 slice Ultra Helical CT scanner. The new unit allows a more comfortable and a faster scan for patients. In turn, this allows a lower dose and less exposure to radiation while gaining efficacy. Along with the reduced radiation, the new machine also reduces noise and produces sharper images across many body regions.
