The Wildcats welcomed in Saginaw Valley State for the first of their final two home games to close out the regular season. After beating the Cardinals 20-1 in their first matchup in March, Northern took it one step further, pitching a shutout on their way to a 20-0 win.

MARQUETTE, Mich. (WJMN/WBUP) - The Northern Michigan football team changed up their spring game approach in 2025, welcoming in the University of Minnesota Duluth to the Superior Dome on Saturday. It was a promising day for the Wildcats, as running back Noah Dobert racked up 153 yards on the ground and scored three touchdowns. The Wildcats defense was sharp as well, holding the Bulldogs to nine points over the course of the modified four-quarter game.

ISHPEMING, Mich. (WJMN/WBUP) - Ishpeming senior Hadden Hyry took the next step towards fulfilling his dream of playing college football on Thursday, as he signed his letter of intent to join the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Blugolds football team. Hyry was part of Ishpeming's first season playing 8-man football in 2024 and found success, despite the challenges of adjusting to the different style of play as a lineman.
