The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) has issued a statement regarding a case of a missing international student who was found dead in a park on the shore of the Ottawa River last weekend. Vanshika Saini’s body was found on April 27 at Dick Bell Park on Carling Avenue. The Indian High Commission in Ottawa has identified her as a 21-year-old student from India, saying she went missing several days before her body was found. The statement was issued Sunday.

CN Cycle for CHEO 2025 is aiming to raise $2 million. A low of 9 C and a few clouds are in the forecast for tonight. Monday will see a high of 18 C and a 60 per cent chance of showers. A low of 12 C and a 40 per cent chance of showers are expected overnight. Tuesday will also be rainy, with a high of 16 C and a 60 per cent chance of showers.

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Lennox and Addington County says a driver is facing charges after being stopped for going slowly and having plastic over his window on Highway 401 Saturday morning. Police say they received a complaint reporting a vehicle going slowly on the highway with plastic over the window. The vehicle was located and stopped shortly before 8 a.m.That was when police found that the driver’s side of the window has been broken for some time.

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating following a single-vehicle collision that left a 25-year-old man with serious injuries Friday afternoon in the South Dundas Township. It happened on Brinston Road shortly before 3 p.m.When officers arrived at the scene, they found the sole occupant of the car with serious injuries. He was taken to hospital by air ORNGE with life-altering injuries, according to the OPP. The investigation into what led to the incident is ongoing.
