On a 2-acre site, the project will house 81 units in a building design inspired by the French Colonial architecture of the neighboring Evanshire Mansion, which was built in 1902 and now is an events center with a park and gardens.     Avendelle Assisted Living (Raleigh, N.C.) is planning to build a new assisted living senior community in Pittsburgh, according to a news release. The provider is partnering with AWK Development (Turtle Creek, Pa.) on a community that will accommodate 15-16 residents in a home-like setting within a residential neighborhood. It will be Avendelle’s largest community to date and is scheduled to open in early 2026.

    Cedarhurst Senior Living (St. Louis) has opened Cedarhurst of Wentzville, a new senior living community in Wentzville, Mo., according to a news release. The community houses 65 independent living units, 47 assisted living units, and a 21-unit memory care neighborhood.
