Past and present members of one of the Semiahmoo Peninsula's Rotary clubs celebrated a silver milestone in April. The Rotary Club of South Surrey marked the club's 25th anniversary with a catered event April 23 at the Rotary Field House. More than two dozen past members joined those who are presently involved to celebrate, including two from the club's starting days – inaugural president Garry McIntosh and fellow founding member Hardy Staub.

White Rock RCMP are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man involved in a brazen daylight attack on two seniors walking across the road last month. Police say the "awful … more than road rage" incident occurred at approximately 4:15 p.m. on April 11, in a marked crosswalk at North Bluff Road and Johnston Road.
