Buffalo Exchange, an Arizona thrift-store icon, celebrates its 50th anniversary March 16-17 with pop-up shops and acts of kindness in Phoenix and around the state. The original Buffalo Exchange location was a 400-square foot store in Tucson, stocked with clothes from founder Kerstin Block’s own closet. Today, Buffalo Exchange has grown to 40 locations across 15 states, including four in Arizona. “I’m so grateful for these past 50 years with Buffalo Exchange,” Block said in a press release.
