UNITED STATES—On Wednesday, April 9, 2025, the SF District Attorney’s Office announced that Jason Fayad, 34, was convicted after a trial by jury for stabbing a man in the Tenderloin District. Fayad was convicted of assault with a deadly weapon (PC 245(a)(1)). According to the testimony and evidence presented at trial, On November 8, 2023, the victim was walking down Leavenworth Street near Turk, when he was brutally attacked by approximately eight men.

SAN FRANCISCO—On April 3, the San Francisco Police Department reported that as a result of an ongoing Drug Market Agency Coordination Center (DMACC) operation with the San Francisco Sheriff’s Office (SFSO) and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), seized over 1.15 pounds of narcotics in multiple areas in San Francisco last night. A total of six males, two females, and one youth male were all booked for charges related to illegal narcotics sales.

SAN FRANCISCO—On Apil 3, 2025, the San Francisco Police Department reported that a habitual shoplifter in the region has been arrested. The SFPD reported on December 4, 2024, Marcel Criner, 57, was arrested for a petty theft incident that occurred at a retail store on the 1300-block of Castro St. The singular petty theft incidents result in a cite and release for suspects, but officers were notified about four other petty theft incidents by the same suspect at the same store.

SAN FRANCISCO—On March 28, the SFDA’s Office announced that Jose Espinoza-Santos, 57, and Aaryn Stacy, 31, have been charged with multiple felonies in connection with narcotics trafficking. Espinoza-Santos and Stacy are alleged to have been in possession of over half a pound of fentanyl and other drugs.
