(KLFY) — Lafayette Consolidated Government is touting new funding they’ve received from the state and legislative victories coming out of the last legislative session. “We had three pieces of legislation we were supporting,” says Mayor President Monique Blanco Boulet. These three legislative bills are Senate bill 237, Senate bill 142, and House Bill 446. Senate bill 142, she says, helps the police department.

    LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) – Acadiana Crimestoppers will premiere tonight on KLFY Plus at 9:30pm. The show will cover recent crimes and fugitives law enforcement are currently seeking to apprehend. The guest tonight will be Lafayette City Marshal Reggie Thomas. He will give two interviews with us. The first one will cover Lafayette’s most wanted, where Thomas will cover fugitives from the law, which his office is currently trying to track down.

    Lafayette, La. (KLFY) — One Acadiana, as part of their Civic-con series, hosted a public forum tonight at the Acadiana Center for the Arts. This event was headlined by Lafayette Mayor-President Monique Blanco Boulet and Lafayette Police Chief Paul Trouard, answering questions in a town-hall type format. “We’re here to communicate with the public, we have to have that open and honest communication going back and forth,” Trouard said. “It’s fun for the people to get to know him,” Boulet added.

Insane readings from aircraft in the eyewall of #Milton. Flight level winds of 155 knots, which equates to 160 mph at the surface with the 10% reduction.
