HCMC – The prices of SJC-brand gold bars rose by VND400,000 to VND88.5 million per tael today, January 24, according to local media reports. As of 9:30 a.m., SJC gold bars were being traded at VND86.5 million per tael for buying and VND88.5 million per tael for selling at DOJI, Saigon Jewelry Company, and Bao Tin Minh Chau.

HCMC – The Huu Nghi International Border Gate and the specialized transport route at Tan Thanh will temporarily halt customs clearance from January 28 to 31 in observance of China’s Lunar New Year holiday, according to local media reports. The Dong Dang-Lang Son Economic Zone Management Board has confirmed the suspension, adding that from February 1 to 4, customs clearance will be limited to pre-registered shipments. Regular operations are scheduled to resume on February 5.

HCMC – Tan Son Nhat International Airport in HCMC is expected to accommodate around four million passengers during the Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday travel rush, according to the Vietnam News Agency. From January 14 to February 12 (or from the 15th day of the final lunar month to the 15th day of the first lunar month), the airport expects to handle 26,033 flights with more than four million passengers, with 1.5 million of them international travelers.
