APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje A Kano State High Court on Tuesday dismissed an application filed by former Kano State Governor and current National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, challenging the court’s jurisdiction to hear a bribery and misappropriation case against him. The Kano State Government brought 11 counts against Ganduje, his wife Hafsat, son Umar, and five others, alleging bribery totalling $413,000 and misappropriation of N1.38 billion.

Masu, in a resignation letter on Monday addressed to the speaker of the house, Ismail Falgore, cited party fractionalisation and litigation rocking the NNPP as his major reason for leaving the party.

As part of renewed efforts to strengthen safety in schools, Governor Abba Yusuf has announced the recruitment of 17,600 security guards to be deployed across public schools in Kano State with immediate effect. This is contained in a statement by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Dawakin Tofa, on Monday. According to DawakinTofa, the governor disclosed this at an event where he said 400 security personnel will be recruited and stationed in each of the state’s 44 local government areas.
