HOUSTON – A bridge reconstruction project in Houston’s Spring Branch neighborhood has hit yet another speed bump along the way, further delaying its reopening. The bridge that carries part of Campbell Road over a Harris County Flood Control District ditch has been closed since last October. The Texas Department of Transportation is overseeing the project to bring much-needed repairs to the bridge. However, local business owners and residents who live nearby are paying the price - literally.

HOUSTON – Harris County employees and contracted employees could soon see a nice bump in their paychecks. Harris County Commissioners Rodney Ellis and Lesley Briones are proposing an increase of the minimum wage for all county employees and contracted employees, according to a media advisory released on Wednesday.

The robbery happened last Friday around 7:40 p.m. at the Mango Island Smoke Shop on Grant Road in the Willowbrook area. At least two men walked in the front door and appeared to be shopping.
