The Boys Volleyball NJSIAA state tournament continued this week, with all eight brackets getting through the semifinals and having their final matchups determined. See below for the top players from around the state during the semifinal round:Yamil Espinoza, HarrisonEspinoza had six kills, two digs, and 13 service points to go along with an ace in Harrison’s quarterfinal round victory over fourth-seeded Weehawken. Harrison hasn’t dropped a single set yet in the postseason.

Defeated ninth-seeded Demarest in the quarterfinal round and was led by Daniel Estevez who had a game-high 22 assists. Defeated fifth-seeded North Bergen in the semifinal round and was led by Leo Fontaine who had eight kills.

BRACKET: North Jersey, Group 3 Tournament1-Scotch Plains Fanwood (26-4) vs 3-Millburn (21-6)Scotch Plains-Fanwood: Defeated 16th-seeded Don Bosco Prep 2-0 and was led by Daniel Ennis who had 17 kills. Defeated eigth-seeded Belleville 2-0 and was led by Andrew Sicinski who had 17 digs, and Daniel Ennis who had 14 kills. Defeated fifth-seeded Fair Lawn and earned its third consecutive 2-0 victory of the postseason.

“See ball, hit ball.”Liam Costello delivered the game-tying two-run double in the bottom of the seventh to tie the game, and later smacked the game-winning three run homer to win the game for West Morris. West Morris (19-10), the fourth seed in the North 2, Group 2 state tournament, defeated 11th-seeded Mendham (11-15) to capture its second sectional title, 8-5 on Thursday. “I was just trying to be as aggressive as possible,” Costello said.

BRACKET: North, Group 2 Tournament4-Garfield (21-9) vs 2-Randolph (24-4)Garfield: Defeated 13th-seeded Science Park 2-0 in the opening round and was led by Ylan Tapper who had 11 kills, and Jake Dudek who added nine. Defeated 12th-seeded West Essex in the quarterfinal round and was led by Tapper who had 14 kills. Roger Chavez added 17 assists. Defeated top-seeded Ramapo in the semifinal round 2-1, and was led by Tapper who had a game-high 30 kills. Chavez also added 34 assists.
