LONGVIEW, Texas (KETK) – In August of 2024, the City of Longview approved a contract for a biomining facility off E. Loop 281. The CEO of the New Zealand-based company behind the facility is speaking on why a move to the United States is beneficial both now and in the future. A formerly unoccupied storage facility in Longview will soon be home to a New Zealand-based biomining facility, which will turn old phones, laptops and more into a reusable resource for the country.

TYLER, Texas (KETK) – The Department of Justice (DOJ) has issued new guidelines to protect your children from on-campus police officers, after a South Carolina school resource officer admitted to sexually abusing two children. In recent years, school districts across the nation have added more police presence on their respective campuses to keep the students, faculty and staff safe. In fact, half of East Texas’ school districts have enlisted extra help from officers.
