    (KBTX) - Texas A&M wrapped up Day Two of the SEC Track & Field Outdoor Championships in Lexington, Kentucky, with Sofia Yakushina and Aleksandr Solovev claiming gold medals. Yakushina became the first freshman since 2017 to win the SEC Heptathlon title. She scored 6075 points with first-place finishes in the 200m (23.70), long jump (6.35m), javelin (39.98m), and 800m (2:14.41).

    (KBTX) - No. 2 Texas A&M women’s tennis is gearing up for its fourth straight trip to the NCAA Championships. The Aggies take on Tennessee in the quarterfinals on Thursday at 4 p.m. in Waco. Last year, A&M won its first national championship and caught some teams off guard as the No. 13 overall seed. Now, as the defending national champs, the Aggies are the No. 2 overall seed and know that they won’t catch anybody by surprise.
