There's no question that Greggs is quintessentially British. It's unlikely that you'll walk down a UK high-street without seeing one. The bakery chain first opened in Newcastle upon Tyne in 1951. But despite the fact there are 2,450 outlets here in Blighty, you won't find it overseas. That means visiting Greggs has become quite the novelty for people visiting the UK.
