Revenue sharing is coming to college sports on July 1, as long as the House Settlement is approved by a federal judge this month. That means that for the 2025-26 season, schools can divvy up a maximum of $20.5 million across all their sports. According to the biggest sports business insider, the SEC planned to put spending caps on each sport, specifically limiting men’s basketball to around $3 million, but Kentucky led the charge against it.

This September marks the two-year anniversary of sports gambling becoming legal in Kentucky. Late this summer, the largest retail sportsbook in the state will open at The Mint Gaming Hall Kentucky Downs. Circa Sports Kentucky’s newest venue will feature an 80-foot-wide LED screen, a 31-foot-wide odds board, and over 5,100 square feet geared toward the ultimate gameday experience. There will be 113 stadium-style seats, luxury recliners, and three tiers of booth-style seating.

Steve Zahn may have been born in Minnesota, but for the past 20 years, he’s lived on a horse farm outside of Lexington, which makes him an honorary Kentuckian. The actor loves the Bluegrass State so much that he’s worked with VisitLEX on a few projects, the most recent being a new ad campaign in which he encourages people to “come home” to Kentucky. The minute-long spot dropped on social media this morning. In it, Zahn sits in a horse barn, looking out at the scenery.
