On Monday, March 31, Loveland Ski Area announced that season passes for the 2025-26 ski season will start at the same price point as last year. The decision bucks an ski industry-wide trend of passes increasing. Both the Epic Pass and the Ikon Pass launched at historically high prices ahead of the 2025-26 season. The Epic Pass started at $1,051, a 7% increase from last year and a new high for Vail Resorts. The Keystone Plus Pass launch price was raised from $390 in 2024 to $418 in 2025.

A new master plan submitted by Copper Mountain Resort aims to expand ski terrain and add lifts to “meet the ever-growing demand for developed recreational skiing.” The 122-page document also outlines facility upgrades, trail work, lift replacements, summer activity expansions and other capital projects aimed at improving on-mountain circulation and upgrading “guest experience.” The news comes after Alterra Mountain Co. announced that it will allow unlimited access to Arapahoe Basin Ski Area...

Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) is recommending the approval of two high-value claims made by ranchers who lost livestock to gray wolves in 2024, including one claim of nearly $300,000. The CPW Commission will discuss the details of the claims and may vote on them or request further consideration during its March meeting. The commission will decide if they want to approve CPW’s recommendation. One claim is for Farrell Livestock, LLC, based in Jackson County.
