The Eagles head down to Tampa Bay to play the Bucs down a lot of players. Devonta Smith and Lane Johnson are in the concussion protocol. AJ Brown has missed two straight weeks with a hamstring injury, though he was a limited participant in Friday’s practice. If the Eagles are going to go into the bye week with a 3-1 record, they are going to need some guys to step up. Even if AJ Brown can go, it will be difficult for them.

The Eagles managed to win in week 3. It was the 1st game this season where they were underdogs and the first game where they were in hostile territory. Very few people thought the Eagles could go down to New Orleans and win. The Saints offense was flying high, and the Eagles defense had been questionable at best. Turns out, the defense gave one of the best performances we saw from any defense this season. They held a team averaging over 40 points per game to just 12.

Talk about a kick in the teeth. To go from having the ball, in the Red Zone, with the lead, and under 2 minutes to go, to losing, is about as painful as a regular season loss gets. The Eagles should have won this game. They should be 1 of 10 2-0 teams. Instead, they gave the Falcons the ball back, Kirk Cousins drove them down the field, and Drake London caught the game-winning TD.

Week 1 is in the books. It was not pretty, but it was a win. Eagles fans may still have some lingering PTSD from all the “ugly wins” last year, but we should not overreact to 1 week. Recently Apple Music released their top 100 albums of all time, and all things considered it wasn’t a bad list. While I disagreed with some of the choices, Rolling Stone, and many other publications have lists that are far worse. None of the albums were bad albums, and they stayed away from hot takes. Musical tastes are extremely subjective of course. There are people out there with terrible taste in my opinion, and others with great taste.
