Oscar Piastri has taken pole position at the Bahrain Grand Prix in a dramatic day of qualifying which ended with punishments handed out. The McLaren driver showed his class to snatch pole away from Mercedes’ George Russell and Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc. Thurston was left visibly impacted by two alleged off-field incidents with the NSW State of Origin prop forward following the Roosters’ 26-16 win over the Broncos.
