With the transfer portal for basketball heating up, a QB1 battle for SU Football, and a Stephen A. Smith & Lebron James beef, March has been filled with madness. This week was a busy one for the Fresh Squeezed crew, and the episode shows it. With their longest episode yet, there was no shortage of topics to discuss. The Fresh Squeezed crew talks everything March Madness! The guys are back after a few weeks off for Spring Break. This week marks the beginning of every basketball fan’s favorite time of the year: March Madness. The group breaks down their Cinderella stories and bracket busters, along with their picks for the winner of the men’s and women’s tournaments. But that isn’t all. The guys wrap up a less-than-stellar season on the Men’s basketball team with Cedric at the ACC Tournament.

Win and you’re in, lose and you’re out. The MBB team needs a win over NC State and WBB needs a win against Pitt. THE BOYS ARE BACK IN TOWN! This week the boys debated the possibility of a loss for the MBB team. Coming into the game NC State had just beaten Wake Forrest. But they also had not won a game on the road. This seemed to be about a fifty-fifty match for the Orange. Also back to back losses for both Men’s and Women’s lacrosse had Kobe in a whirlwind.

After losses to UNC and Maryland, SU MBB and MLAX seem to be in trouble. The boys are back! Things aren’t so hot in Syracuse right now. Literally or figuratively for that matter. UNC beat Syracuse men’s basketball team, in the dome during a snow storm and Maryland beat men’s lacrosse during a cold front in the DMV. Nonetheless the women’s team won in Maryland, but there’s been a whole lot more losing than winning happening around the Orange right now.

No surprises this week. Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse is good; basketball is not. The guys are back after a disappointing loss to the Duke Blue Devils, but both lacrosse teams look poised to win. The guys also react to interesting thoughts from Judah Mintz’s grandfather and discuss the safety of Red Autry’s job. Should he get another chance? Hear the guys’ predictions on this week’s podcast. With a loss to Boston College and a loss to Clemson can the basketball teams rebound? It seemed as though after the great win against Notre Dame the men’s team was on the right track; well they would go on to get blown out by Clemson the night of this recording. This also took place before the women’s team matched up against 20th ranked NC State and we had no clue how the team would fair after giving up the worst loss to BC in ACC play ever.

With two basketball teams under .500, and a football team filled with transfers and NFL hopefuls, what is the state of SU athletics? The gang is back! After an eventful winter break filled with action Cedric, Ty and Kobe could not wait to talk all things SU athletics this week. Over the break both basketball teams dropped under .500, making it statistically very hard for them to make the tournament. Fran Brown and crew saw the loss of some star players via the portal and draft.

Kyra Wood and Georgia Woolley combined for 35 points to lead Syracuse women's basketball to its first conference win this season, 66-61 over Miami Sunday night inside the JMA Wireless Dome. Syracuse improves to 7-9 (1-4) on the season. The Orange next travels to face Louisville 12-5 (5-1) on Thursday, January 16th. Syracuse started the game off slow but used its defense to help jumpstart the offense. 'Cuse forced seven Hurricanes turnovers in the first quarter.

Syracuse shook off a cold start and picked up a convincing win 78-50 vs Yale in the JMA Wireless Dome on Sunday. Syracuse (4-4) moves on to face Texas A&M (4-4) in theSEC/ACC Challenge Wednesday, December 4th. Syracuse started off the game ice cold, just totaling three points for much of the first quarter as 'Cuse shot 1-12 in that span. Six straight points allowed Syracuse to cut the deficit to 10-9 at the end of the quarter. Nine points marked the lowest first quarter point total of the season.
