In the golden days of the 90’s, Casio watches were all the rage among elementary school kids. One watch towered above the rest, though: the mighty F91W. Its slim profile, along with its everlasting battery life made it a mandatory element of the everyday-carry for lots of people back then. Of course, this was before the dark times (before the smartwatch), but I digress. Everybody and their dog had a F91W in the fourth grade, and I wasn’t about to be left out.

It’s a chilly November night and a box has just arrived on my doorstep. As I unpack the contents on the dinner table, I’m pleased to see Bremont has sent two ladies’ watches. My wife takes a suspicious glance at the table and asks if I’m going to actually wear them. Well, this time around, I want to do something different, through someone else’s eyes. I ask Ana to wear each one of the watches and share her thoughts via Telegram voice notes throughout the day.

Modern life in a free market is both a blessing and a curse. Endless entertainment options and lifestyle choices overwhelm the senses, inducing paralysis by analysis in all but the strongest (or perhaps, the most collected) psyches. It would seem the only way to avoid falling down the rabbit hole is to have a clear vision of one’s desires.
