    Honeywell has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NTPC Green to explore the production of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) in India. The companies will explore the use of Honeywell’s proprietary eFining technology to produce SAF from carbon dioxide (CO2) feedstock captured from NTPC’s power plants and green hydrogen. “SAF production forms the sizeable part of the ambitious Green Hydrogen Hub of NTPC Green in Pudimadaka, Andhra Pradesh.

    State-run hydropower producer SJVN expects to commission the entire 1 GW capacity of its solar project in Bikaner by October this year. With 320 MW already under commercial operation, the remaining 680 MW is scheduled for commissioning in the coming months. Upon completion, SJVN Green Energy Ltd (SGEL) will supply the generated solar power to Rajasthan, Jammu & Kashmir, and Uttarakhand. Power purchase agreements have already been signed with Uttarakhand Power Corp.

    Sembcorp Industries (Sembcorp), through its wholly owned renewables subsidiary, Sembcorp Green Infra, has received a Letter of Award from SJVN Ltd for a 150 MW solar power project with a 300 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS). This build-own-operate project is part of SJVN’s 1.2GW tender for inter state transmission system-connected solar projects with 600 MW/2.4 GWh of BESS capacity.

    From pv magazine IndiaWaaree Energies Ltd. announced that its arm Waaree Solar Americas has secured an order to supply 586 MW of solar modules for an amount of $176 million. The manufacturer said the order is placed by a renowned international entity that is a developer and owner-operator of utility-scale solar and energy storage projects across the United States. The supply of modules is scheduled to commence from the financial year 2026-27. Waaree Solar Americas, Inc.
