    The price of gold in Pakistan continued its record-breaking rally on Friday as the price hit an all-time high of Rs. 306,200 per tola. The price of 24 karat per tola gold in Pakistan increased by Rs. 2,200 and was sold at Rs. 306,200, All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) reported. Similarly, 10-gram gold was sold at Rs. 262,517 after an increase of Rs. 1,886, according to APGJSA. The price of gold also reached a record high in the international market today.

    The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) began the new week on a high as buying momentum saw the benchmark KSE-100 Index gain almost 1,000 points on Monday. The index closed the day at 114,230 points, up 982.77 points or 0.86 percent from its closing on Friday. A total of 521,209,059 shares were traded during the day as compared to 499,846,692 shares the previous trading day, whereas the price of shares stood at Rs 28.29 billion against Rs. 24.82 billion on the last trading day.

    After ending in red on the first four days of the week, the benchmark KSE-100 Index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) ended the week on a high after gaining over 600 points. The index recovered from an intraday low of -625 points to close at 113,247 points, up 609 points or 0.5 percent over the previous closing. Brokerage house Topline Securities attributed the recovery in the second half of trading session to buying by institutions as they came in to buy the dip.

    Bears tightened their grip on the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) as the benchmark KSE-100 Index lost 1,500 more points on Thursday. After reaching a peak of 114,330 points, the KSE-100 closed at 112,648 points, down 1,510 points or 1.34 percent with significant decline in trading volumes.

    Bears controlled the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Wednesday as the benchmark KSE-100 index lost over 1,900 points. The KSE-100 Index gained over 1,500 points at one stage, before closing at 114,138 points, down 1,904 points or 1.67 percent. A total of 1,099,982,065 shares were traded during the day as compared to 819,805,715 shares the previous trading day, whereas the price of shares stood at Rs 32.46 billion against Rs. 33.32 billion on the last trading day.
