1 Introduction Senegal is one of the sub-Saharan African countries that still face multiple malnutrition issues, despite several strategies implemented over decades. In the rural settings of the groundnut basin (one of the agroecological regions of Senegal), particularly in the Kaffrine region, the persistence of wasting and stunting in children under 5 years and the presence of the double burden of malnutrition in women of reproductive age (WRA) were recently highlighted.
