DiscussionThe aim of the present study was to investigate the bone formation behavior of a strontium(II)-modified, injectable calcium phosphate cement containing mesoporous bioactive glass particles (“pS100G10”) in comparison to a plain version of the strontium(II)-modified calcium phosphate cement (“pS100”) after implantation into an osteoporotic defect model in rats.
