At each stop, the tour's centerpiece will be a replica of Epic's icon, a Chronos. At Epic Universe, a Chronos will act as the portal entry into its five themed worlds. During the national tour, the 30-foot-tall Chronos will enable passersby "to witness action-packed sequences that celebrate the incredible adventures of the new theme park," Universal said. Guests can snap a photo with the portal and are especially encouraged to visit at night for a show featuring lighting and music.

And it provided details on two stage shows that are opening in late May. The summertime deals will be available for booking March 27. Children's tickets are being offered at half price for visits from May 27 through Sept. 20, if the purchaser buys a standard kid ticket (for those aged 3 to 9) for three days or more. In another deal, Disney is offering three-day, three-park tickets for $89 per day ($267 total, plus tax) for visits from April 6 through Sept. 22.

The year-round horror experience sits in a 100,000-square-foot building at the Area15 district. Inside, guests will find four themed areas with a haunted house in each: Universal Monsters, Blumhouse's The Exorcist: Believer, Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Scarecrow: The Reaping. The experience also feature themed bars and food locations as well as a retail location with merchandise. Tickets are on sale now. They are sold by date and time of admission.

The iconic white building that houses the coaster in the Tomorrowland section of Magic Kingdom Park was specially lit on Wednesday evening. Disney said the building would be "bathed in a golden glow throughout the night."Space Mountain was one of the last attractions Walt Disney himself worked on, according to the company (he pitched the idea for a "Matterhorn in outer space"), though he would never see it come to fruition. He died in 1966. Construction began on Dec. 15, 1972.

From Nov. 26 to Dec. 2, AAA estimates that 79.9 million people will travel at least 50 miles from home, an increase of 1.7 million from last year. Some of that increase can be attributed to AAA expanding the Thanksgiving travel period, for the first time including the Tuesday before Thanksgiving Day and the Monday afterward. Most travelers will drive during the holiday. AAA projects 71.7 million people will take to the roads, up 1.3 million from last year.

Bucking a trend at nearby Universal Orlando Resort, where executives last month reported lower attendance at domestic theme parks, Disney's attendance was on par with the same quarter last year. Universal Destinations and Experiences on Thursday released more information about the year-round horror experience, which will anchor the 20-acre expansion of Area15, an art and entertainment district that includes immersive experience like Meow Wolf's Omega Mart. Set inside a darkened warehouse, Universal Horror Unleashed will feature four haunted houses.
