Google Chrome is the most used browser right now, with the competition trailing far behind. What browser you use typically ends up being a matter of preference and familiarity, but all vendors are trying to one-up each other as they vy for more market share. Recently, Google claimed that Chrome is now faster than ever while Microsoft boasted that Edge is better at ad-blocking than Google's offering. Regardless of all these factors, Chrome commands a significant market share, even on legacy systems.

The competition between Windows PCs, Apple Macs, and Chromebooks is fairly decent when it comes to the education sector. Chromebooks are typically priced very competitively but are sometimes underpowered. Windows offers wide compatibility with software but may increase overall licensing costs, and finally, Mac offers similar benefits to Windows coupled with premium hardware, but is the most expensive of the lot.

After much fanfare, Samsung officially launched the Galaxy S25 Edge last month, marketing it as the slimmest phone in the series. The handset is 5.8mm thick and weighs 163g, hosts a 200MP primary lens and a 12MP ultra-wide sensor, and a Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform for Galaxy processor - the same one powering the S25 series. However, despite all of these features backed by Samsung's marketing effort, it seems like the handset isn't performing well in terms of sales.

Last month, we learned that Microsoft is making major changes to the development of hardware drivers in Windows. This included the retirement of Windows Metadata and Internet Services (WMIS), along with the process for pre-production driver signing. Now, the Redmond tech firm has informed partners that it will be getting rid of old drivers in Windows Update.
