Everyone wants the fastest internet speed possible, but not everyone actually needs a high-speed connection. Local telco SpinTel recently found that more than a third of Australians don’t understand how internet speed is measured. Locally, most plans are advertised in megabits per second (Mbps), referencing how fast data transfers over the internet. Realistically, if you only use the internet to watch Netflix in HD, a 25Mbps plan is more than adequate.

Just when you thought you had everything, Volonaut has unveiled its very own Star Wars inspired land-speeder. While it can’t quite compare with the iconic The 74-Z speeder bike, which was largely used to menace Ewoks by scout troopers of the Galactic Empire, you might actually be able to buy this model. Volonaut’s Airbike is a jet-powered, single-seat flying machine capable of reaching speeds up to 200 km/h (124 mph).

Joining a growing pack of new brands, Jaecoo has made its debut down under. For those that might not know, Jaecoo is a Chinese automotive brand established by Chery Automobile in 2023. It was created to market SUVs exclusively in export markets, including Australia, Europe, and parts of Asia, and is not sold within China itself. The brand name “Jaecoo” combines the German word “Jäger” (meaning “hunter”) with the English word “cool”.

When the first wave of Wi-Fi 7 routers hit the market, steep price tags kept them out of reach for most people. As the technology has matured, it’s become much more affordable, like the $529 Asus RT-BE92U Wi-Fi 7 router. Some of the cheaper Wi-Fi 7 gear makes compromises along the way, like sticking with dual 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. That’s not the case, as we found when testing Asus’ recent router. It still gets the faster 6GHz network band and a total throughput of 9.7Gbps.

Anti-glare technology is the next big thing in OLED TVs, addressing one of the display type’s few weaknesses. I recently went hands-on with the new Samsung S95F OLED TV, the flagship model from its 2025 OLED range. From seeing the TV in person, it’s clear that this is a prime OLED for bright rooms. Its brighter panel and smarter AI processing are a strong step up from last year’s S95D TV. OLEDs tend to be glossy and reflective, so it’s good to see different technologies hitting the market.
