We are now rolling through May, and this is the month when we normally experience our first 90-degree day. You may be surprised to learn that our first 90 has been arriving later over the years. Over the past 122 years since records began for the Triad in 1903, the first 90-degree day of the year averages to May 19. Since 1950, it has averaged to May 25, and, since 2000, the first has averaged May 29.

(WGHP) — A cold front is approaching from the north and will reach northern Virginia where it will stall tomorrow. This is close enough to give us a 35% chance for a shower or thunderstorm at some point tomorrow. Severe weather is NOT expected as we are in the level 0 threat shading. Lows tonight around 62 and highs tomorrow around 83. Partly cloudy tomorrow night with lows at a mild 64. Partly Sunny and 85 on Thursday. There is a slight 20% chance for a shower on Thursday.
