The Kentucky Wildcats and coach Mark Pope have assembled what looks like a very good roster for the 2025-26 season. As a result, most preseason rankings have them ranked as a top five team. CBS Sports, however, doesn't feel quite the same way. In their newest preseason rankings, Gary Parrish has the Wildcats ranked 11th, though they're still the highest ranked of the SEC teams. The Florida Gators are second in SEC at number 15, with the Auburn Tigers and Arkansas Razorbacks just behind them.

There is a good chance that at least one Kentucky Wildcats player gets selected in the 2025 NBA draft this summer. In his latest mock draft, Wasserman has Brea being taken, but he also projects Otega Oweh to be picked in the second round. That might be great news for fans hoping to bring Oweh back for next season, though.

The Kentucky Wildcats gained another offensive line commitment on Tuesday in the form of tackle Rob Fogler. However, they're not necessarily finished with the position. They also hosted former James Madison tackle Cameron Jones on Monday. Jones is another tackle prospect with length the Wildcats have targeted. He is 6'6", and 330 lbs, and could be a nice developmental player for the future, while providing depth next season.

It was a tough weekend for the Kentucky Wildcats baseball team. They came into their three-game series with Mississippi State having won two straight SEC series. Unfortunately, that came to an end against the Bulldogs. Kentucky dropped the first two games of the series in a Saturday double-header and went into Sunday hoping to salvage a win, but it wasn't been to be, as the offense once again struggled and lost 6-1. The Wildcats fell behind early with the help of some poor defense.
