    Actors Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things, Ghostbusters: Afterlife) and Billy Byrk (Wynonna Earp, Ghostbusters: Afterlife) starred in and directed a campy slasher film called Hell of a Summer. The movie premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2023 (Wolfhard was 20 when they shot it!), but it’s since been picked up by Neon and will soon be making its way to a theater near you. To celebrate the occasion, Neon released a trailer, giving us a taste of the meta horror comedy.

    Robert Eggers may be moving on to other projects—a film called Werewulf (one guess what creature is featured in it) and a sequel to Labyrinth—but his film Nosferatu continues to do well both commercially and critically, most recently earning four Oscar nominations for cinematography, costume design, production design, and makeup and hairstyling. And while the film is still in theaters, it’s set to come out in a fancy 4K Blu-ray set in a few weeks.

    Another work by Garth Ennis, the creative mind behind The Boys and Preacher comics, is in development and has a director. The Hollywood Reporter broke the news that a film adaptation of Crossed is in the works, with a script from Ennis, and Rob Jabbaz taking the director’s chair. In Crossed, a zombie-like pandemic spreads across the world, except in this case, instead of becoming mindless, well, zombies… people become murderous psychopaths with their intelligence intact.
