A Sioux Falls man was indicted on May 15 on charges of solicitation of a minor and disseminating material harmful to a minor, according to a Minnehaha County court document. Wyatt Clifton Nuchols, 23, was arrested May 27, and is currently being held on a $50,000 bond at the Minnehaha County Jail. On or about Aug. 29, 2024, Nuchols allegedly solicited the victim, then age 13, to engage in “a prohibited sexual act,” a class 4 felony charge, according to the court document.

A Sioux Falls man has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison after being convicted of attempting the enticement of a minor, following his arrest during a multi-agency online sex sting operation, according to a press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office, District South Dakota. Stacy Shannon Hoover, 57, received the sentence May 14 from U.S. District Judge Roberto A. Lange.
