LAS VEGAS — A recent state investigation into chemical concerns at New Mexico Highlands University resulted in 10 citations and $43,393 in penalties. The State of New Mexico Environment Department Occupational Health and Safety Bureau issued a citation and notification of penalty to NMHU dated Feb. 27. The document stems from an inspection that OSHA conducted of the Ivan Hilton Science and Technology building following reports of concerns over toxic chemicals inside the building last year.
