INTRODUCTION The global increase in life expectancy and the increasing incidence of diseases such as cancer among older individuals means that oncologists are more often providing care to older patients.1 Beyond achieving cures when possible, prolonging survival, and improving quality of life (QOL), cancer care should meet individuals’ needs by aligning treatment strategies with patients’ values and goals.
