FOREIGN AFFAIRS First Greek FDI-class frigate begins trials The Hellenic Navy’s first FDI-class frigate, Kimon, conducted its first sea trial in the Bay of Biscay, testing propulsion systems ahead of delivery expected by late 2025 – nearly a year behind schedule. Built by France’s Naval Group, the ship sailed with a French crew. Forty Greek officers observed the trials, though final staffing will total around 100 personnel.
